The idea for this blog popped into my head an hour or two ago, and it kept bugging me, until I created it.

I often get ideas, and if they go away on their own, then I forget about it.

This one kept nagging at me, so here it is.

I guess I have a lot to say about being an artist, since I've been one my whole life, and professionally since the age of 17, more or less.

Maybe I can write some things that will help people, who knows?

Maybe I will help myself by writing this blog.

If there is anything I have learned, it is to follow your gut.

If anything comes out of writing this blog, so be it.

At the very least, I'll get some hits.  Whether from automated bots or actual humans, I guess we shall see.

But if I can say one thing about being an artist that is really important, that is, "You have to get off your butt, and do the work."
There is no short cut to this.

I know people want things to be easy, but guess what, it isn't.

If you aren't prepared to do the work, don't even bother becoming an artist.  You will waste your time, and everybody's time.

If you are ready, start drawing, and stop reading this blog.

     Go ahead, start.

Get back to me later, I'll be here.
